audio \\ advertisement!!!

[ The folks at Majestic Marketing felt like they hit the jackpot. Lots of companies were interested in advertising to Supers, but outside of broad marketing strategies, no one who wasn't a Displaced Super had automatic access to their network communications. So when Miriam Maisel reported for her first day as a voice actor, they immediately recorded and asked her to blast out her first ad — they moved fast before the new Super could fully understand what was going on.

It helps that when Midge first stepped through that portal, she gained powers without gaining the full knowledge, that she has those powers.

The bet, of course, is that even if Midge figures it out and doesn't want to another targeted ad later, Majestic Marketing will have at least cashed in big for their first-ever ad just for Displaced Supers. And boy did they have a brand who was itching to get the Supers' ears. ]

We get it.

[ The voice you hear is clearly feminine with a touch of sass. And a little pep. ]

You're in a new place. A new Earth, and most of the time, with new powers.

[ The producer gives Miriam a thumbs up. You're doin' great hun. ]

For the first time ever, Chanel is launching its custom line, tailored pieces made just for Supers. Our new fabrics will adapt to a variety of changes, all unique to you.

[ Holding half of the over-ear headphones over her own ears, Midge reads the last few lines in a slightly lower, sexier voice. It's a little too clear that she's having too much fun with it. ]

See what we have to offer at Chanel.com. In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.

[ And cut. ]

Well then Ethan is smarter than most people his age. It took me a lot longer to get this way.

[ His tone is dry and flat, like it usually is. He knows how he sounds, but sometimes he forgets that it's not normal for most people to hear a child while they're talking to an old man, so he makes no mention of his age if it doesn't come up. It hasn't come up, yet, in this particular conversation. ]

How did you get on this network? Are you one of us? If you're one of us, I think that might actually be even worse.
