[Stan's got a tumbler of what is obviously alcohol in hand and he takes a big swing before he actually says anything, and he opens his mouth and pauses several times before he actually speaks.]

So, about these wishes - has anybody else had anything come from them? Is this all some big joke or....?

[Stan puts his glass down, rubs his eyes and nose underneath his glasses, and then takes them off completely before picking it up again.]

[Stan, in a little bit of a surprise move polishes off what's leftover in his glass before clonking it down on the table and raking a hand through his hair.]

What did I do? I think I did something stupid, I didn't take it seriously but also it's what I wanted and now this....

[Stan picks up the paperwork and waves it around, certainly worked up.]

( Hermione is standing outside dressed smartly because she's meant to be at work. There are sirens blaring in the background, people crying, and still more people chattering incessantly.

She doesn't look upset, but it's only because she's already thinking and she's already worried. Attacks on individuals are one thing. This is an escalation.

Part of the reason she's cool and collected is that she's spent the better part of the last two hours being interviewed, along with her coworkers, and this is the first chance she's gotten to get on the network. If she'd gotten on immediately, her demeanor would've been very, very different. )

So...while the lot of us were on lunch, the dental office where I work caught fire. I can't say for certain, having heard second-hand from someone, but there's talk, apparently, amongst the firefighters and police that it might have been arson.

( This is the first time at which Hermione actually looks at the camera; up to this point, she's been watching people, to make sure that she's not being overheard. )

No one is hurt; we take an hour lunch rather than half, so no one was in the office but...if it was arson...it seems a bit too weird that whoever did it tried to burn down a family-owned dental office. Except...this office volunteered to employ a Super. So...be careful. The might know where we all work. Can't believe I'm actually saying this, but...

( She takes a deep breath and sighs softly. )

You must have constant vigilance now. We all must.

( Her lips press together and she sucks the bottom one in to worry at it with her teeth, her eyes shifting back out to look around again briefly before returning to the camera. )

Right...be safe. And...if anyone knows who might be hiring someone with almost no job experience, well...

( She gestures weakly before swinging the camera over to show the charred remains of her former place of employment. The camera holds there briefly before returning to her face. )

I suppose I'm in the market.

( With another sigh, the feed goes black. )

The Eglaf Annual Fall Festival takes place each weekend for the last three weekends of September every year. Tons of activities are available around town, from hayrides and vendor booths downtown near the Summer Stage, to carnival rides and games, to special deals and silent auctions sponsored by local small businesses. The fall marks the end of the tourist season in Eglaf and surrounding areas, and the fall and winter festivities are generally the locals' way of celebrating the calm that falls over the town before the holiday season.

Characters will have received brochures that will be slipped under each character's apartment door Monday morning, September 7, given they're still living in the government housing, as well as downloaded automatically as a pdf file on the devices of characters no longer living in the government housing.
