(( NOTE: Anonymous strikes again! All comments on that post will be considered game canon. If you want your character to participate with a top-level but you know that they wouldn't ICly do that, feel free to top-level them anyway and they're welcome to comment back that they weren't the one who put themselves on there if they get mad about Anonymous having done it for them. Anonymous gets their kicks from watching the "chaos ensues" portion of an IC anon meme (among other network shenanigans), so it makes perfect sense for them to have top-leveled for a character who wouldn't have done it themselves.

Yeah, that makes two of us. There's a lot about this place I don't like. I don't like this stupid anonymous bullshit on the network. I don't like that my siblings are telling me I've been another place with them when I haven't. I don't like that one of my brothers just showed up again and he doesn't remember being here, which suggests to me, based on my own experiences, that he hasn't been. I don't like that they bring children here. I don't like that I can't get a decent cup of coffee anywhere without being approached by locals asking me to sign fucking autographs. This place is bullshit.

[ His expression flattens with annoyance in a silent "that's your takeaway, Klaus?" but he's patient enough to let his brother finish before actually responding. ]

No, they just know we're Displaced Supers and Displaced Supers here are like the Academy was back home. [ His tone flattens completely. ] We're famous again, fucking hooray.

[what, was he really expected to address one of the more important things? yeah, sorry, that's not going to happen anytime soon. mostly because he doesn't like the idea of continuing to consider that he might've been here before.]

Oh. [klaus's tone is more mixed, something akin to puzzlement tinted at the edges with worry.] Well, I guess it could be worse: we could actually be reliving the old life? I'll take the Displaced stuff over that any day.
