[ On some level, it's nice to know Derek isn't the only man left on the planet who makes it about her pleasure first when he fucks, but on the other hand... Well. He could've done without such an intimate memory of a stranger beforehand. ]

[Nick's eyebrow pops upward - he supposes it was only a matter of tiem but he's almost afraid to ask]

Could be worse. All I saw was you schmoozing some woman out of what looked like a pin of some kind before showing her what was probably an especially good time. Do they get all excited when you make it about them, like they've never experienced that shit before? Honest to God, are werewolves the only ones who take care of their partners? Every woman I've been with acts like I'm the first guy who ever gave a shit about her getting off.

Ah - that's not so bad, actually. I got the fun part of that plan.

[Nick grins impishly, not bothering to elaborate on what the plan was - it's not important when Derek and...well everyone here has no idea who Joey, Malcom, or anybody in Nick's pack is.]

Literally every woman - even the men, actually - get beyond excited by it. I'm not sure if we just innately do it better, but I know exactly the reaction you're talking about. It's always shock and awe, but honestly there's nothing that's sexier than that reaction and bringing that to your partner. I kind of like being the exception to the norm, and the surprise, actually.

[Nick shrugs, not uncomfortable in the least by this discussion.]

[ If it surprises Derek that Nick specifies that he's slept with men, too, it doesn't show on his expression. Instead, he just looks amused. ]

I like to think we do it better. Super senses and all that.

[ He realizes belatedly that he's making assumptions about the werewolves in Nick's world, but it never really occurs to him that they could be in any way different. ]

But yeah, see, that's how I see it, too. I get off on getting her off. I don't actually get it why human men don't feel the same way. They're missing out.

Not that I'm sure you'd like to know that a stranger has seen you preparing a sexual encounter but...it does inspire me to come off anon to talk to you for a change, so that seems like kind of a win?

[In terms of what a person could see....sex is actually not so bad as far as Nick's concerned, honestly. That's probably the reason that a grin pulls at Nick's mouth.]

And, if it helps, all we did was put a camera in her pin for a little information to find a dangerous former pack member. She got it back.

[Nick shrugs, it's...really simplifying it down because it was more complicated than that, but - well, just like his partners Nick takes care of his pack and problems with everything he's got.]

( Color her impressed. Lydia makes no attempt to hide that from her expression, although it's mixed, admittedly, with a touch of doubt. )

Oh, I don't care. I don't have anything worth stealing, anyway. I'm a lot more interested in the part where you always take care of your partners, sweetie. You'll have to forgive my suspicion; most men can't really be bothered.

[ If only people weren't being so considerate about telling each other that they saw something. ]

Hey Nick. We haven't met yet — I'm Max. I think I just saw, um— [ Swallow. ] Something very private, of yours. Or uh, more like, experienced something very private, of yours.

Just, wanted to let you know.

[ But also damn. He's taking home some pointers that he got to experience as if it was real life. ]

[Nick gives a small wave, a little amused at the awkwardness he can feel from the other man.]

[Nick shrugs, smirking a little bit - considering the one memory he knows is out there, considering what the beautiful redhead has said, he has a guess as to what sort of private experience Max was a part of.]

Oh yeah. The uh, share extremely private memories as a way to meet people strategy. No idea why I never tried this on my own.

[ He says it mostly to highlight the ridiculous of it. Nick's smirk though, helps a bit. At least Max knows this guy is comfortable with what's happening. ]

Yes. [ He says, slowly, and nodding, as if just agreeing out loud is going to cement that this happened and he's not quite ready for that yet. ] But you're right! At least it wasn't another moment where I experienced someone dying.

[ A beat. Max's eyes are already a little larger as he remembers those other memories. There's a slight glassiness to his gaze too, like ... maybe even though Max is acting like he's okay, he's definitely not. ]

That particular kind of memory is going around a lot these days.

Probably didn't have enough liquid courage, would be my first theory.

[Nick teases, grin still in place before he laughs and shrugs.]

If my sexcapades break up the doom and gore I guess I can't complain too much. At least everyone gets to experience something a lot more positive - and amazing.

[No shortage of confidence here, nope, and maybe that'll take the other guy's mind off of the doom, gloom, and death.]

Yeahhh, makes me wonder if there's a reaon that so many people coming through that portal have such a big, terrible thing in common.

Nick's positive outlook though, matches Max's regular personality. It helps, too, to see the guy so damn confident. ]

Uh. [ He narrows his eyes for a second, thinking through what Nick just said. When he glances back at the phone, he hesitantly asks: ] You haven't died ... or anything, yet, right?
