text;
It was you and a woman - you were hurt, she patched you up, and then you two were flirting while she was showing you how to handle a gun, and yourself with it before, well...
If it's a memory I think you can fill in the rest because you remember?

...Braeden, yeah, I remember that. I'm sorry. That was probably pretty uncomfortable to see... You could've seen worse things, I guess...

You don't have to apologize - like you said I could have seen worse things. And it wasn't too uncomfortable, honestly. If it weren't for knowing what's going on and what others have seen I'd have almost thought I could have been making it up and imagining it.
[Sally knows enough to censor so far as minus the Braeden part because she doesn't usually fantasize about men and other women, typically. And as unexpected as it was it's brought a little levity, even if in the back of her mind she's wondering what happened with his healing and his eyes - not quite having all of the information of that memory, obviously.]</small?

You imagine me flirting and learning how to use guns often or would that have been a one-off?
Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Made me laugh, I kind of needed that.

Good, mission accomplished. I had to. You understand.

in person;
There's a churning feeling in Laura's gut as she stnds in the bathroom, holding onto the edge of her sink as she stands there breathine after the memory fades. There are so many feelings going through Laura afterward - everything from a fiercly protective urge to reassure him, to the need to give him the tightest hug that she possibly can, knowing in such detail what he carries around every day.
She's not entirely sure if he remembered too, or not, so once she manages to push it all back, Laura exits the bathroom, listening for the sounds of the other werewolf in the house.]
Derek you home?
[She calls out, already knowing the answer and making her way toward him, but it's a little more normal, more polite to not assume. She needs to check in with him, check on him - and she's not going to hide what she saw either. She could have seen the memory if she'd wanted, but she never wanted to see one of the worst moments of Derek's life.
It's not fair how much he's been through.]

Hearing his sister's voice, Derek calls back over his shoulder that he's in the yard and tosses the ball again when Zeus brings it back. The three dogs take off after it simultaneously and Derek turns his attention to Laura when she joins him. ]
Hey, what's up?

Shenanigans.
[The word comes out, but it doesn't feel entirely accurate, not tow hat she's seen so far. And it's remembering how what happened changed him, and their mother in the aftermath that has Laura moving to squeeze Derek's arm.]
I've been getting memories - other people's, but...I just experienced one of your's. Paige. And mom and you talking about it, your eyes, afterward...
[Laura's voice is calm, maybe a little careful, but this has to, on some level, still be hard. And she's not sure if it's easier or more difficult to have this conversation, to go through this, with someone you love and care about. Someone that you want to protect. Pack.]

And it isn't. He looks — because he feels — like she's just slapped him in the face. Of all the things he'd expected to come out of her mouth next, that's not one of them. ]
You...
[ He sighs. ]
Mom said I didn't have to talk about it and that she'd handle it if anybody asked...

[Laura admits, looking down, her hand still on Derek's arm. And she's not sure if it's meant to comfort herself or him in the moment, honestly.]
You don't have to talk about it - if you can't...but I'm not going to hide that I got your memory - I never knew the details, not all of it...you were a baby still and you went through that, Dere... god.
[Laura shakes her head, looking at him, sympathy - and love for him, and sorrow even mixed in there - written all over her face.]
no subject
I don't really want to talk about it, if it's all the same to you, Laura... You saw. Peter wanted her to be able to grow old with me and he thought he was helping when he got Ennis to give her the bite. It didn't take. That was that.
[ That's all he's going to say because bringing up Peter's name with his sister is never a good idea and it rolled so casually off his tongue just now that he knows it's going to sting her. ]
I appreciate what you're doing but...I don't want to talk about it. It was a long time ago, Laur.
