You being used to it doesn't make it okay, though. You shouldn't have to be used to it. It shouldn't be so hard for some people to see you're people just as much as any of the rest of us.

Yeah, but it is what it is. If it isn't Supers, then it's other illegal immigrants or it's some religion or another or someone with a different skin color or sexual orientation. People are afraid of things they don't understand and fearful humans can do scary things. If the worst we ever get is just people being afraid of us, I think we're getting off pretty light, don't you?

I know. It's everywhere, about everything. Anything different and people freak out, and I just... I don't get that, you know? It shouldn't matter. Love who you love and be who you are and worship any way you want. Why does any of it matter so much? Like you said-- you do these patrols and you're doing these things to help the city, because they can't be everywhere at once, and you're probably catching stuff they wouldn't even know about if it weren't for you. So... I don't know... is it really that light? How's it fair to you?

I never got it, either, but I think it's just human nature. Or maybe it's just living being nature, I don't know. I think everyone has their biases, some stronger and more stubborn than others. Fear does crazy things and fear of the unknown is pretty common. That's all that bias is, it's just fear of the unknown manifesting itself in a way that's a lot less savory than, say, being afraid of the dark.

Life's not fair. You know, back home, I'm just Casey. It's really hard to stand out when Superman is your dad. Here? Some people literally stop me on the streets and ask for selfies and thank me for everything I do. So yeah, there's people like your brother who wish we'd all go home, but for every one of him, there's five more making me feel like they feel safer because I'm around, so it's really not that bad.

I guess. I just wish that kind of... negativity wasn't so prevalent that it was just normal.

Oh, wow, that's-- that's really cool, that people notice, and are thanking you for what you're doing. It's so important. I'm glad it isn't all bad.
