Didn't exactly mean for you to see any of that, but yeah.

And you have to know that you were a kid when everything happened with Kate, Derek. She took advantage of you and it's not your fault. I never should have gone back to Beacon Hills alone the way I did, though. I literally abndoned you even if it wasn't what I meant to do - I'm always going to feel guilty for that. I was stupid and reckless when there were only two of us left - mom wouldn't have made the mistakes that I did.

Mom wasn't eighteen years old and saddled with raising a teenage boy while trying to mourn most of her family and grapple with leaving the surviving one behind in a home. She wouldn't have made the mistakes you did because she wouldn't have been in your shoes. Don't do that to yourself.

She was raising me to be like her, and to make better decisions than I did, though, Derek. I should have though more and done better, but I'll try if you do.

You obviously still blame yourself for Kate when you were even younger than me, you were a kid - the only one responsible for one happened to everyone was Kate. And I guess in the same vein the only one responsible for what happened to me is Peter, not me for my bad choices.

She wasn't done teaching you, Laura.
