[ He laughs, relief flooding through him at the sight of his twin. ]

[ He shrugs. ]

Yeah, me either. One moment I was crawling into bed, the next I was here.

[Conner really is relieved that his brother is here; much as it makes him feel like a teenager again, not wanting to be separated, it's good not to be. They may be adults now, but they're still close. They're still attached.]

So far it's Casey - who was here for a while, by the way - along with James and then me. Note she has been stuck here with James a while because I haven't been here long.

[Everyone from Lawrence, basically, knows that James is, basically, chaos. And that Casey has always had a crush on him - or maybe that's just Conner himself, but he knows his sister.]

At least you've got clothes on, I showed up in my underwear.

( Twins... God, she loves twins. Especially good looking ones and especially especially the straight ones. Her roommate seems to be, so she'll have to assess this one when he inevitably drops by sooner or later to see his brother.

[ Cue an overly excited little sister. Surprised and overly excited little sister, at that. Maybe she and Conner jinxed him by pointing out how lucky Clark always is that he dodges the multiverse bullet. ]

Clark?! Holy crap, I can't believe you're here!

[ She's missed him. A lot. Nowadays, she's closer with Conner just because they'd spent so many years multiverse hopping together-ish, but she's always had a soft spot for Clark, being the actual oldest sibling. Seeing him now sends just as many positive feelings as negative ones. For every ounce of relief at seeing her brother again, Casey also feels the digs of guilt for feeling that way, for example. ]

[ Derek grins a little. It's always kind of nice to see when people come in and they're not blowing their top mad about it like he had briefly been. ]

There's a place called Perfect Spot downtown; they have some good craft stuff behind the bar and one or two good ones on tap, too. I wish I could've been this relaxed when I'd shown up, good on you, man.

I guess I won the lottery this time.

[ There's always been a bond between them and the moment he knows it's not broken here, it puts him at ease. Whatever comes their way, they can face it together. ]

Shit. [ He knows James and he knows his sister, being here on her own with him must have been a handful. ] I bet that was fun.

[ He grins. ]

I always thought the universe had a twisted sense of humor.

[ He shrugs, giving her a small smile. ] When you're from where I'm from, you learn to roll with the punches.

[ He's still upset. He had shit to do. People he cares about back home. But with people he cares about here too, there's no way he's bailing. ]

Lando's, huh? I'll have to check it out. Should I tell them a beautiful redhead sent me?

[Con shrugs, not going to be upset or beat himself over it; it's not like he willed it because he's got exactly no power over who comes in and goes out.]

[Conner pulls a face, fully serious about his guess. Izzy didn't wind up a shrew in his pocket for no reason, after all.]

[ As relieved as he was to see Conner, he's glad to see Casey in good spirits. She's never been delicate, by any means, but there's nothing he hates more than seeing his little sister out of sorts. ]

[ Now he wishes he'd been here earlier to enjoy that quiet before the storm. ]

What about tonight? I could use a drink and I want to see both of you. Though, it seems like you've missed me longer than I've missed you. [ He'd seen both of them only a few days ago. He was getting the feeling that it'd been longer for them. ] I'll even let you pay.

I know it probably hasn't been as long for you, but it's been like almost four years since the last time I saw you. So, I'm pretty sure you owe me the biggest, longest hug in all of history, actually.

[ She's practically vibrating with excitement. For all the bouncing around she's done, Casey always tells herself that it's okay because she knows she'll get back home to them all eventually and it'll be like she was never gone, but honestly? She's not sure she always believes it and after the week she's had, she could really use some big brother time with both of them. ]

Yeah, cool, where you goin'? I vote somewhere with food because I just got out of work like half an hour ago and was still hemming and hawing over what to have for dinner, so I haven't eaten yet.

[Conner snorts.]
