The thought alone makes her stomach drop, although it’s hard to tell if it’s because her security blanket is gone or if it’s for something else. There’s reassurance in the fact that, if her powers went to someone else, at least it’s with Klaus because he knows what they can do. He knows the true weight behind them.

She agrees, though. This is really fucking weird, and she just nods as she tries to not fidget with her ring.

When he starts speaking and starts saying the command, she can see it in his face. He can feel that surge of power, he’ll be able to feel the way that the air around them seems to shift as reality is ready to be molded at his whim, and before she knows it she’s moving to the couch so she can sit.

So this is how it feels. It’s not that unfamiliar - after all, Lila had made sure she could feel the effects of it back in Dallas, but still. It manages to leave her almost breathless, especially considering the implications that it has this time.
