She can feel her nerves fraying already, and the last thing she wants is to process all this with an audience in the courtyard or at a restaurant. She tries to not flinch as they pass by the stairwell, the voices louder to the point that she can feel her skin crawl, and once the door is closed she tries to, essentially, not freak out.
“Okay, so. I can see ghosts. And hear them. And you have telepathy. But you can’t read my thoughts?”
Some part of her already knows the answer. It’s as if they had traded powers. So if that’s the case, then does he have the Rumor, too?
